The
Book of the Oppressed was specially written to
empower Africans and all those who are being
oppressed or have been oppressed in the
past. The basic message is that we are all
united in LOV and that we share a common
spiritual heritage that is rooted in LOV,
not in the Gods. According to the Book the
Gods separate us because of their love for
their chosen people. The Gods divide us
because they take sides in human conflicts.
The Gods have requirements for their love
and such requirements are in opposition to the unconditional Universal
Love that we share.
The Book claims that foreign Gods are far
away in foreign lands with their chosen
people while our Gods are right with us in
our own land. According to the Book
worshipping foreign Gods makes us eternal
slaves and asks why we should choose to be
slaves when we could worship our Gods and be
free? The Book further claims that
Gods are not responsible for our success or
failure in life; we are responsible. If the
Gods were responsible atheists could not
live fulfilled lives and those who believe
in their native Gods would not amount to
anything.
The
Book states that all creatures are loved
unconditionally irrespective of their
beliefs or the choices they have made in the
past and reminds us to claim our common
spiritual heritage. A spiritual heritage
rooted in LOV will usher in the new
spiritual reality that truly makes us
brothers and sisters because in the new
spiritual vision no nation or race of
people, or religion or God has an undue
advantage. We are all equal irrespective of
our color, nation, belief, religion or God. One World, one People, one
Destiny!
